This policy explains what information Teaspoon El Dorado Hills (operated by Trantingco LLC, "we," "us") collects through teaspoon-edh.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is provided under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and other applicable law.
Information we collect
What you give us. When you send a catering request on our short request form, we collect:
- The package you're interested in, your event date and preferred time of day
- Your email address, and your mobile phone number if you choose to be contacted by text or phone
- How you heard about us and any notes you add (both optional)
- Whether you agreed to receive marketing emails or texts from us
If you then fill out our detailed order form, we also collect your name, company or organization (optional), event details (event type, exact time, guest count, pickup or delivery, venue name and event address), your order choices, dietary needs or allergies, and budget.
What is collected automatically.
- Site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies and records anonymous information such as the page viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, and country.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) receives your IP address and basic browser information when you load the site, as any website host does.
- Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you visit.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, confirm availability, prepare a quote, and plan and provide your order
- To send you a confirmation of your request, and to contact you about your order by email, or by phone or text if you asked us to
- To send you specials and news, only if you opted in
- To keep business records, improve our service and website, and meet legal obligations
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run this website and store requests for us: Vercel (website hosting) and Google (Google Workspace, where requests are saved and emailed to our staff). They may use it only to provide those services to us.
- Our staff, who need it to handle your order
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, customers or staff
- A buyer or successor, if the business is sold or transferred
We never share your phone number or your text-message consent with anyone else for their own marketing.
Marketing emails and texts
Signing up is optional and is never required to place an order. You choose email and text messages separately at the end of the catering form.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us.
- Texts: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Even after you opt out, we may still contact you about an order you placed.
How long we keep it
We keep request information for as long as we need it to handle your order and keep normal business and tax records, and then delete it. If you opted in to marketing, we keep your contact details until you opt out.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you by contacting us below. We will respond within 45 days.
- California "Shine the Light": we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
- Do Not Track: we do not track you across other websites, and no third party is allowed to do so through our site. Because of this, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.
Security
The site uses an encrypted (https) connection, and requests are stored in accounts that only our staff can access. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will note it at the top of this page.
